May 5: The Fifth of May Day at Pacifica

The Fifth of May Day at Pacifica. Pacifica is holding an open house and you're invited. The doors are open from 11am until 5pm, featuring multiple events during the day including guided tours of Pacifica's property

Starting at 11,Pacifica's Art Guild will be hosting a Sale of Fine and Functional Art. Meet the artists, see their work and take home some thing nice for yourself !! There will be artists giving demonstrations of their art form and techniques. he Art Sale runs throughout the day until 5pm.

Also at 11 am, Nancy Appling from the Oregon Council of the Humanities will be giving a free hour long lecture, "Walking the Labyrinth". Nancy is an experienced Labyrinth scholar and walker and will be presenting later in the month at the Northwest Regional Labyrinth Gathering for 2007 in the Rogue Valley Medical Center.

At noon, Pacifica offers guided tours of the Alpine Rock Garden and water fall, a project in progress.

Last but not least, from 1pm until 4pm there will be a presentation of Applegate Valley wines From the Academey of Wines and Rosella's Vineyards. There will also be an offering of organic wines. Appetizers will be served.
 

 
May 12: Native Plants in the Home Landscape
with Bonnie Bayard, Landscape Architect

Have you decided to use native plants in your landscape but don't know where or how to begin? In this all day workshop we will create appropriate and beautiful native plant vignettes after we understand principles of landscape design, explore a planting design process and planting considerations, learn about basic research tools and familiarize ourselves with native plants of this area.

Join us at Pacifica to explore the processes and issues involved in creating appropriate, successful, and beautiful planting designs.

Saturday, May 12th, 10 am to 5 pm, $75.00 per student. Bring Brown Bag Lunch, Beverages will be provided. To Register, call 846-1100.

 
May 19: Dedication of The Madrone Grove

Pacifica respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the dedication of The Madrone Grove, an outdoor site for ceremony and celebration. To begin this tradition, we will hold a dedication and vow renewal ceremony for all who choose to participate. A no-host reception will follow in the Community building Great Room ( HiddenJungle Mobile Bar, Sweet Conclusions Wedding Cake, Behind the Garden Gate Florist, Bob Clark-Harpist, food offerings and a photographer available to record the day for you.) Ceremony at 1p.m.-Reception until 4.

 
Dec 1: 2007 Winter Arts and Craft Festival
at Pacifica

Please join Pacifica Arts Guild from 10am-5pm in this holiday celebration of fine art and crafts for gift giving. Local musicians will be playing throughout the day as you browse amongst the wares of vendors.

We have food as well as gifts and a children’s craft area with fun things planned for activity. We invite you share this joyful time with us. And, don’t forget to visit the Art Guild members at our booth.
